Wistia is the video host you have watched a hundred times without knowing its name: online courses, SaaS demos, webinar replays. Businesses choose it for analytics and control, which includes *not* offering you a download button. If you paid for a course and want to keep the lessons you were given access to, or need your own company's video back, here is the path.
How to download a Wistia video
- Open the page where the video plays and copy the page URL — or, for embeds, the Wistia media link if you have it.
- Paste it into our Wistia downloader and press Download.
- Save the MP4 in the quality listed.
Where this is useful (and where it is not)
- Your own content: lost the original upload? The player file is a recovery path.
- Courses you purchased: keeping an offline copy for personal study is a common and reasonable ask — check the course's terms.
